Looking at an aerospace application for a compressor.
Sanden is at the top of the list, but I am also looking at Seiko/Seiki, Delphi, Valeo
All of these compressors are designed to run clockwise, Can any of them be run counterclockwise? Mods required?
PTO off the back of the engine runs 6000 RPM and CW.
A transfer shaft, belts, gears all have drawbacks for maintenance and space, and are generally in-elegant solutions.
Comment? thanks!

Re: aerospace application 6000 RPM and Counterclockwise
There is a Sanden SD7V16 that rotates CCW. A variable displacement compressor, you could probably just let it run full time - it will de-stroke to minimum when the suction side pressure drops.
The SD7V16 max RPM is 8000, so it should be ok with 6k.
