Hi all
I have a 1972 Lincoln Mark IV. All factory setup A6 compressor etc.
I have converted to R134A and did the 1/2 turn CCW POA valve adjustment. New Drier. New AC Delco PAG150 oil. I installed 90% of R12 charge.
In the garage idling with an ambient temp of 23C/75F I get vent temps of 51/52 F and high side pressure 155 and low 20.
If I rev to about 2500 the high side goes to 200 and the low side stays at 19-20 . Never moves. Vent temps stay the same.
When I first started the car cold, the POA valve was sweaty on one side and frosty on the other. When the engine bay warmed it was sweaty all over.
Long story short , do these pressures and temps sound ok? I havent driven the car yet to see what extra airflow over the condensor will do...
cheers
Can someone check my cooling stats please?

Vent temperatures get lower when driven. Try it out on the road on a hot day.BOON250 wrote:If I rev to about 2500 the high side goes to 200 and the low side stays at 19-20 . Never moves. Vent temps stay the same.
Your 2500 rpm pressures seem a little on the low side.
