Well, I needed a new line to go with the new style compressor. I guess run it for now. If anything happens I will rebuild without them or just replace it. I think it was only about $60. Interesting info on the mufflers. Odd concept.
Please let me know about that seal. I think it is an o'ring. but it may be something else seeing as it sits on that port. Also, I take out the stem of the new hose, correct?

Sorry, took me a while to locate my stash of those fittings.
I picked it out of the fitting, and it is a square O ring. All hose may have it. McMaster DOES have it, but only in packs of 100

Not having a lot of luck sourcing an oring, it seems thay come in packs that caost about as much as a new switch.
So, if I have to buy a new switch, I would be interested in moving the cut-out switch to the back of the compressor on the high pressure line if possible.
The valve is F1CZ19D644A or Motorcraft YF49. Not sure the thread. Maybe there is such a thing as a 90deg, a Tee, or an extension to fit both the valve and the switch?
This location would be better for the wiring.
Any thoughts?

The HPRV in your picture may have the same thread as your HPCO switch.
If so, you can swap out the HPCO switch for the HPRV. As I recall you were running a welded up HPRV on your old system without an issue.

SD7 had discharge reed noise due to oil stiction with flutter caused by BOURNELLI effect (lowering pressure at increasing velocity) as discharge valve opens. in later years Sanden used my patent for shot blasting the discharge valve to reduce the oil stiction and tendency to flutter as pressure pulsations increased the Bournelli effect.Al9 wrote:Highly likely they're mufflers. With shot blasted discharge valve the discharge muffle could usually be eliminated but a small suction muffle may be helpful for suction valve noise using unforgiving plastic inner hose liner. !00% rubber R12 hose has better noise dampening.
Ford dealer installed AC was often pre charged using the brass fittings to only open when screwed together.

B, As far as the HPRV, it was not welded. But it had blown and been replaces a couple times before the HPCO and electric fans were installed way back when.
I was running this HPCO on the HP service port.
It took care of both the HPCO and the R134a HP service adapter. With the engine swap and the AC swap, the location of the HP service port is further away than it was and will require me to lengthen the wiring to its new location. That is why I am looking at putting it in this location. It looks for a better install.
Most HPCO's I have seen are pretty wide and probably would not fit. So I was thinking that the HPCO from a 95 Bronco
(6L3Z19D594A) or something similar, and an adapter like this although I have no idea of what the threads would be.
Maybe you can make a better suggestion?

Some HPRV's are .375-24 threads like an AN fitting.
Back in June of 2007 I gave you a welded HPRV to solve your leak problem - I don't know if you replaced it after that.
Can you use that same conversion Tee on your latest system configuration?

Well, Here are the pics of the HPRV that came off the truck. It does not appear to be welded. Maybe that is why I had to top it off every 2 or 3 years. Not sure...
I measured it up and the threads are just shy of 3/8". Too small for a 10mm. I am guessing you are correct at 3/8-24" What is the shrader size - 7/16? I found an Omega MT1340 adapter online. I wonder if that would fit up in a HPCO? YF49 or similar?

I usually wended up the threaded end of those valves.
An AN port fitting with an O ring would probably work if it is 3/8-24.
