2002 Suburban Correct Compressor

Post by hbabler »

It’s been a long time since I’ve been on the board, so long in fact I couldn’t use my old log in.

I have a 2002 Suburban 2500 with an 8.1, I need to replace the compressor, condenser and dryer because it has shelled out in the system. I am not sure which compressor I need there are a bunch of choices. It has rear ac, and electronic controls. I cant remember if this is one of the ones that I need to replace the compressor with a different model because of the case leaks or not? Thanks for the help

2.5 years ago when I needed to replace the compressor in our 2005 GMC Yukon Denali I installed a brand new Denso one, OEM supplier, was bout $200.

Not worth saving $20 to install a rebuilt. Make sure to get one set up for dual or front-only air, they typically are different. I installed a Four Seasons electronic deslugger too http://www.4s.com/en/marketing/psp-solu ... deslugger/
