Where to learn about auto A/C?

Hello everyone,
I am reading here and people are talking about low/high side pressures, refrigerant weights, condensor/evap/compressor sizing, etc....
Does anyone have a reference for where to learn the basics of A/C system maintenance / engineering? Looking for something that will basically answer these questions but not be a 800-page thermodynamic design textbook. I can read well but don't want to spend a whole year on this.
My background is a mechanical engineer.
