Question About Suction Hose Diameter For POA

Hello y’all,
I am redoing the a/c hoses in my ‘72 Chevy C-20 and I have a curious concern. I am utilizing the original POA (recalibrated to 26psi for 134A) and at the time, the only hose and fittings I had available more than 20 years ago, were #10 hose fittings. The original A6 used #12 but I had installed a Sanden SD508. This was left over from the Old Air Hurricane system that I had installed prior to gutting a donor truck and adding all of the factory components to make it a factory system.
It had always worked well but now I am curious if I should step it up to #12 now that I can get these fittings. Will it really make any noticeable difference in system performance? The suction line is only 2’ from the POA to the compressor.
Thanx!
Bud
