Compressor control valve pressure color codes

I just bought a new(Chinese) Delphi/Harrison compressor to replace a non-rebuildable failed compressor and the new compressor has a Blue dot valve(41-43 pressure range) installed and the OEM compressor has a Green dot valve(36.5 to 38.5 pressure range). Is that critical? Obviously, I do not know much about the details of A/C compressors but I have been able to diagnose and repair my A/C in a couple of my cars. Would there be a noticeable difference with the different valves? Could I just swap the valves before installing the new compressor?

Any info would be appreciated.

Best to ask your supplier. Their compressor might be designed to use a different color control valve.

Are the color codes related to specs by the application(Car manufacturer) or to the compressor manufacturer relative to the application?

By the way, I checked ACKITS.COM and you have nothing listed for 2002 360 Ferrari. It Looks like the only options are crazy priced ("Ferrari Tax" rip-off) expensive Delphi compressors from Ferrari vendors, Delphi knockoffs, or maybe even Chinese "rebuilt" compressors.

There are no cores; we usually rebuild them with all new internals and clutch assemblies. I recently found out the compressor shop doesn't have coils for them, so I'm waiting to find out when they will be available again.

Honestly, our site is outdated and needs a huge overhaul. Everyone using using Google, eBay, and Amazon to shop, not sure it's worth the cost. Full resite development would be 10 to 15K.

It is always best to email or text message us with questions. These days, phone calls are 80% spam or people wanting help with products bought somewhere else.

I'll double-check with the compressor shop on the color codes for offshore units. It might be a general answer, as we don't sell offshore units as stated above. When I say we, I mean a large disturber in this field.

Ferrari pulls stuff like this all the time forcing us to buy only from Ferrari "Stealerships" though the component was built by another company as with Delphi. I always look for a way around Ferrari just for spite. An example. Many years ago, I needed a part for a 77 308 Ferrari and it was ~$75. A Bosch elec part as I recall. Ferrari was not as secretive about part numbers back then and I found a Porsche part with the same #. $15 for the exact same part but in a Bosch paper box instead of a Ferrari-labeled paper box. Ferrari has only gotten worse over the years about stuff like that. But, they get away with it I guess.

And thanks for your reply. I appreciate that. Info from people who know what is happening is valuable and frequently hard to find.
