A/C compressor hose to condenser keeps leaking

2003 9400i international. The compressor to condenser hose has been remade by two different shops and it keeps leaking. One of the times the hose was taken back and one end was re-crimped which caused the other crimped end to leak.
My theory is the condenser could be restricted causing the compressor pressure to build up in the hose eventually causing the leak. Is this a valid theory? How can you test the condenser for a restriction?
It was mentioned to me that the ac didn’t blow very hard but it maintained the cabin at a bearable temperature. I haven’t worked on the truck so I don’t have any pressure readings.

Thanks for the pix. Those crimps are not proper for AC work.. AC automotive requires so called bubble crimps. Nothing else will do….period.
Find another shop and ask to see their crimping dies.
We are not allowed links to other sites but if you google automotive AC hoses and study the crimps you will see the difference.
Be certain the hose is rated for AC use…at least 35 bar and -40 C to 135 C

That’s a picture of a new oem hose. It won’t let me post a picture of the actual crimp that was done on the hose, but it looks like the same crimp used on the rest of the oem hoses on the vehicle. I’ll have to check on the hose pressure ratings.

What country are you in?
The crimpers used in the USA are called beadlock

I’m in the US. Not sure if it makes a difference that the vehicle is a semi truck and not a car. I would assume most of the components are similar.

I’ve not seen that type of crimp, and I would also assume semi and cars are the same. We have a couple of consultants here who have experience with semi’s.
Maybe one will notice this.
Look at the AC hoses on your car to see what beadlock ie bubble crimp looks like

On the left is an oem crimp from the semi truck.
On the right is a crimp from a car.

Reduce the size of your image. You can email it to me, and I'll post it.

The OEM should hold. As mentioned, bubble-style crimps for barrier hoses are the best method.
