What if air conditioning was suddenly banned worldwide?" Imagine a world where the luxury of cooling down in a hot car or building is taken away. How would society adapt to this dramatic change in comfort and convenience, and what alternative solutions might arise? This hypothetical scenario could spark discussion on the impact of air conditioning on modern life and the potential consequences of its absence.

Immediate mass exodus from most of Arizona !!!

Actually, mass exodus of people and jobs from many parts of the world, worldwide chaos.

Agreed. It was not until refrigerated air became more common that there was a migration to Southeastern USA (I suppose most of you already know that). I don't think a ban will occur. There would be too much political pressure against it.

88% of USA households now have AC.

When I lived in Pittsburgh (until 1967), only 1 home on our street - a fairly well-off area - had home AC. My parents later got a room AC unit about 1966.

Now I'm in Arizona, and Phoenix low temperatures can be 95F, and it can still be over 100F after midnight.....and folks keep moving here. And you folks know that vehicle AC doesn't do as well idling at traffic lights; ours are primarily not coordinated, and I believe such frustration results in more folks running red lights as they get pi$$ed making panic stops at reds so many times in a row.....
