Did it stop working recently, or a long time ago. How many miles on the car?
Somehow I doubt the guy weighed in the charge.
Would love to know the hi and lo side readings when it is working. Overcharged?
Have you done AC work before? It is not as easy as people think and requires special tools

If mine, I'd see if the AC compressor was getting voltage after it kicks off; if so, then AC clutch is bad, maybe too large of a gap.
My 1998 Frontier had an intermittent AC clutch issue a few years ago; removing a shim fixed that.

Have a second person sit in the car and turn on the AC when you give the signal while you watch the hi and lo
45 secs should be enough time to get the readings

Yep, that's what I would do.

OK, seems like it is compressing.
For me, I would do what Cusser said for next step
