63 GM Compressor shaft seal removal

Hello forum readers,
Im restoring the AC system in my 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix. I need some help figuring out how to remove the shaft seal. It is the original GM A6 compressor, but it doesnt look like the original two piece ceramic seal as there is a metal washer/spacer in the bore under the snap ring. I have watched various videos and forums that show how to use the seal removal tool, but I dont see how that would work on this part. What am I missing?
