2006 Silverado

Post by No Class »

2006 Silverado 1500
AC compressor cycles on for a split second then disengages.
I have had the system evacuated and recharged(was not low)
I can command the compressor on with a scan tool and the compressor engages and the system functions as it should. I have replaced the cycling switch/sensor (attached to the accumulator) with no change. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

The best tool is a high & low side pressure reading when the compressor is running. It may be running high pressures, cycling on the high pressure switch. Get the system pressure readings & post them here.

Check the 3 wire pressure transducer in the high side line, and the 2 wire high pressure switch mounted on the compressor.

Something is telling the computer to shut the compressor down.
