Okay so now the million dollar question.
Should I use the 215 CC compressor that is in stock?
Or wait for the 250 CC?
If I build the adapter and set it up for the 215 it will work for the 250 if I need to swap it out later. However I’d rather not spend the money twice.

Man this thread has been too quiet.
OP can you tell me how much room you have over the existing FS10 compressor?
That is to say if you measure straight off of the mounting bolts, how much taller (or larger in diameter) could the compressor be, before it had an interference with something else underhood.

Sorry for the delays guys,
I didn’t intend to leave this thread hanging like this. However the beast has been down for a bit due to a fuel pump and then some project creep as I pulled the fuel tank.
I’ll get some measurements tomorrow on the max side. I think I have a fair bit of room above it.
Once I get the truck running again I’ll be ordering the 215cc from Tim. I’m planning on seeing how it does and then if needed I’ll replace it with the 250cc red dot if it ever comes back in stock.
What kind of charging modification am I going to have to make? I’m assuming I’ll need more Freon?

Probably no change in refrigerant charge. You are not making a huge change, think of it like you are now going to have compressor capacity like you are at 1400 RPM, when your engine is at 1200. Same expansion valve settings, same OT, same charge, you might want to do some tweaking later, but I would bet the existing will be just fine. I still think it's not a big enough change, wonder if a Denso 200cc might have a smaller pulley than this 210 and actually give you more capacity? Too bad those 250 are not available...

Okay so here are some thoughts:
FS10 has a 113mm pulley & 170cc
Denso has a 114mm pulley & 200cc
TM21 has a 127mm pulley & 215cc
QP25 has a 141 mm pulley & 250cc
So A denso might work with the increased capacity, the disadvantage is the fittings will not work and I’m having trouble locating an 8pk pulley.
TM21 has 45cc more capacity per revolution but it will turn turn about 12% slower.
QP25 has 80cc more capacity but it will turn approx 24% slower.
So my brain is having trouble figuring out which might be the best. I want to do it right even if I have to wait for the QP25 but I wonder if the decreased speed negates the increased capacity? It might be possible to run a TM21 clutch on the QP25? Any ideas? I can also see that valeo offers some smaller diameter clutches for the tm16 models but I can’t tell if they might be interchangeable if so I could drop to a 119mm on the 21z

I have on of these, it is an '02 with the 7.3l diesel. I love this thread because this is what I have wanted to do to mine. The a/c is just not adequate in hot temps at low speed, especially when in stop and go, heat soaked type situations. I have been looking at the 250 cc compressors too, but I don't like the large pulley on them. Does anyone know the displacement of the FS20 compressor (2008 to 2010 6.4l) or the RS20 (2011+ 6.7l). I have noticed that both of these applications make cool air faster than the older (FS10) equipped models and that when we service them that the pressures fall in line for cold air output faster.
