Typically will not lose oil during a recovery/recharge. Typically will not lose oil with tiny leak over a few years (such leak is normal/expected).

Besides being low on refrigerant .

Does your vehicle make/model have a cabin filter ?? If dirty change it out ,, if not the evaporator core will most likely be covered in debris . Any vehicle can have a dirty evap core as early as 60,000 miles . Some times it might be needed to drill a hole and use a camera to check evap core cleanliness .

Did an evaporator the other day as I was suspicious . After pressure testing for leaks , looking for oil stains , UV light to look for dye no luck . Once the evaporator was removed found 2.5 inch sq patch of dye on fins . Remember this was not picked up outta the interior vents or evap drain

Thanks. Cabin filter was nasty but replaced.

AC is blowing cold now. Evaporator core probably does not require cleaning at this time.
