New fan clutch is on, and what a difference. I can noticeably tell it’s moving more air.

Warmed up and running 10 min.
Idle ~550 rpm.
OAT 99
Low 35 High 220
Evaporator exit to accumulator pipe cold and dripping wet.
Vent Temp 47
Clutch on constantly.

1800 RPM
OAT 99
Low 31-30 High 240-250
Evaporator to Condenser pipe frozen/Layer of frost.
Vent temp 38
Clutch would cycle about every minute when the low side got to 30.

2500 RPM
OAT 100
Low 29-31 High 245-255
Evaporator to Condenser pipe frozen/Layer of frost.
Vent temp 38
Clutch would cycle on for 15 seconds, off for 5 seconds, while low side vacillated between 30-50 with clutch cycling.

Accumulator is wrapped in the OEM shell insulation so hard to get a temp for that other then from pipe from the evap to the accumulator.

People assume that if their engine doesn't overheat that the fan clutch is OK. Not so, as you have discovered. AC performance will degrade waaay before there are engine cooling problems

Yes! We moved to AZ from the upper Midwest and the heat has uncovered some previously acceptable tired components.

The clutch cycling at 2500 RPM has me wondering if my charge is low. Or is it just doing it’s thing? Hard to hear or feel it from the cab so it may have always done so.

lets see if John wants to add anything but i don't think i'd want my high any higher

Also Arizona: and just replaced the fan clutches on both my 1998 and 2004 Frontiers within the last two months.

But you don't have to shovel heat!!!

It was a “Dry Cold” up north at least!

But over 100F AFTER midnight is not so much fun, and morning lows of 92-95F......

Cusser, my friend, you try on a New England winter for size and get back to us.
Don't forget your thermal underwear, your mitts, your watch cap, your boots, down vest and down jacket, your snow shovel, and the ice scraper for your car windshield. My hands would get so cold plowing with my John Deere backhoe that I would have to wrap them around the exhaust pipe for 15 minutes to rewarm them (while it was still running)
