It's possible, but I don't think it's very likely. From what you said earlier, a large cloud of vapor came out. I think your best bet is as follows: Recover (or have it done) whatever refrigerant remains in the system; replace the HPCO and HPRV as mentioned earlier; change the accumulator; add back in a couple ounces (guessing) of PAG-46 oil; evacuate the system for at least a couple of hours; and then recharge by weight 20.0 ounces of virgin R-134a (without any sealers or other additives). Only then will you or the shop be able to diagnose the system further using a manifold gauge set and a vent thermometer.
