My 2006 Ford Expedition with 5.4L engine and front a/c only is not cooling as well as I believe it should.
I hooked up gauges. Ambient temperature about 87', idling at 1000 rpm, low side about 27psi and high side varying from 225 to 300 psi when compressor is on. The high side gauge needle vibrates when compressor is on but steady when off. I can only get 50' at the far right vent with a/c set to MAX and fan on high.
Is this the sign of a failing compressor?
Thanks in advance for all comment and suggestions.

Re: 2006 Ford Expy not cooling well
Looks more like a condensor airflow problem.
A 2006 has a thermo fan clutch. They wear out.
It takes a special pair of wrenches to swap one - most auto parts stores rent or loan the tools.
While you are doing that, clean the condenser and radiator air path - use a garden hose so you don't bend the fins. Simple green will get the dead bugs and road grime off pretty well.
