Compressor has bad clutch plate and bearing.
System presently works but takes a while to supply the coldest air.
I want to replace the compressor, accumulator and orifice tube.
The hoses contain a muffler and since system is working, a flush is not feasible.
Removed the compressor and found it contained 6.5 ounces----for a system specification of 9 ounces total.
I've replaced a compressor in my other same model car and it had much less.
Since it had dye in it,I'm wondering if someone added too much oil.
Does 6.5 ounces of oil in a compressor for a 9 ounce system seem unusually high?
TIA!
Too much system oil?

Re: Too much system oil?
Depends on the compressor. Vehicle info might help.

Thanks and sorry about the omitted detail; It's a 2001 Bonneville 3.8L engine.
Compressor is a V5 Denso NP471-9185
