Replacing 2000 Silverado Compressor to a 4 Seasons

I'm changing out the defunct Delco compressor in my 2000 Silverado 1500 to a new 4 seasons 58901. The 4 seasons appears identical to the Delco but does not have a pressure switch on the back end like the delco ( although it appears to have a port to insert one.) First , is this a low or high pressure switch?
Next , I have been advised by one source that this switch is not necessary and creates more potential problems than its worth. As a result most newer compressors eliminate it by grounding the connection out and that there is a service bulletin out with what to do with the plug. Can anyone advise me on this before I bolt the new compressor in. Should I eliminate it or try to replace the switch?

You transfer the switch from your old compressor to the new one.

tried but destroyed it trying to get it out so going for new.

Exactly what I did when I installed a new Denso compressor into our 2005 Yukon.
