Low side pressure dropping

Post by parrishcc »

First off, I know I should have a dual gauge for proper diagnosis; however, I only have a low pressure side gauge. That being said, my car (2008 Escape) is blowing cool, but not as well as previous years. Put the gauge on and it was a little below the optimum range so I started charging, but as I do the gauge is going down instead of up. At this point I stopped. Connection is good and the freon is moving into the system. Any suggestions on what is happening? Thanks.

Don't do more until you buy real gauge set or get Autozone loaner.

I sure hope that you didn't add refrigerant that contained SEALANT !
