95 Accord poor cooling.
Background,. This car came to our shop with customer wanting us to install a compressor and drier he had purchased.. This was diagnosed by a different shop. You see where this is going, right? I would have kicked him out the door but, it was not my decision. The boss said do it. The tech that did the repair is a VW/Audi guy. He is an excellent tech, just not real familiar with Japanese stuff. He correctly installed the parts, charged they system and there was no cooling-imagine that! The low side was pulling way down, almost into vacuum so, the decision was made to replace the TXV. The evaporator was not clogged internally or, externally so he put it all back together with new TXV and the pressures looked more normal but, not getting below 60 degrees! The compressor comes on, the low side is around 30 and the high side is a little high-around 225 in 90+ degrees ambient. The radiator and condenser fans are working. The heater control seems to be working -gets hot set on hot-not hot set on cold. Idling or, driving doesn't seem to change a thing. Even a large fan blowing through the condenser does not help. It should be working. Thinking that there may be a restriction or, poor flow through the condenser internally. Suggestions?

Pressures seem about right. How cold is the low side line getting? Check that the heater water valve on the firewall is pushed all the way closed with the dash dial on cold. You could pinch off the heater hoses to be sure.
