Testing with Thermocouples
Are any of you using thermocoupeles for diagnosis? I am considering buying the below tool but, looking for opinions before shelling out $250.
Re: Testing with Thermocouples
I have been using thermocouples for decades.
No need for an expensive dedicated tool, many newer DVM's will read thermocouples now.
Clamp the t/c down with a zip tie & wrap a shop rag over it to insulate it for best accuracy.
Thermocouples are cheap. If you have a tough time placing one, unplug it after use & secure the connector safely - you may need it again anyway.
