Getting ready to do my first retrofit to 134 for an 1987 GM vehicle. Back in the day, it seems that retrofit kits were all the rage and plentiful. Now that I need one I can't find not one in town. I know there are several ways and opinions on the best method. I'd like to see what my options are.
Can anybody point me in the right direction? A search got me a few tips but not much on the type of oil I should use.

Re: R134 Retrofit Procedures
Must be at least 10 years since dealing with an R12 system but back then I used a "drop in" replacement called Autofrost. Other brands were Freeze12 and Hot Shot. That's not an option?

Conversion would depend on which 1987 GM vehicle we are talking about. Some convert ok, some not so well.
