A6 Compressor Clutch Plate

AS you can see the rubber ring on my A6 clutch plate has disintegrated. Its an original 5" clutch on a 1971 GMC C1500. Given the rarity of factory delco clutches, can I use a plate from an aftermarket clutch? I am hoping to avoid tearing into the compressor more by replacing the entire clutch assembly. If I could just do the front plate that would make life a whole lot easier.

Somewhere in my absolutely impeccable garage I have a new front plate from the compressor in a 2015 GMC sierra 1500. If you think it will fit it is yours. I never throw away good parts I just put them in hidden corners never to be seen again.
