High side line blowing off

I have a 2007 F-350 with a 6.0. The AC wasn't working, just blowing hot air. I checked the orifice tube and it was full of junk; completely plugged. That started me on replacing the whole system. (I bought the truck used and the AC has never worked very well or at all). Compressor, condenser, evaporator, accumulator, all hoses were replaced.

When charging the system the first time (yes with those little cans),I got about one and a half cans into the system, until, with a loud bang, the liquid line came off. So I thought that the mechanism inside the line that connects to the evaporator was bad so I purchased a new one from ACKits. Put it on and decided to take it to a shop and have them fill it. Same thing happened to him, though he had the system charged with the full amount of refrigerant. The liquid line (I'm assuming that the liquid line and the high pressure line are one in the same), popped off on him as well (including the loud bang). He put the hose back on, and made sure it clicked when he pushed it on and was able to see the spring in the end of the line. Filled it again and it worked well.

The AC worked like a champ for about 10 hours and the same thing happened; loud bang, refrigerant gone. Outside temps were around 80. Just pulled off the highway.

The only item I did not replace were the pressure switches. Could those be malfunctioning? Or is there a more sinister item lurking within the system?

Springlock Connectors aren't reliable IMHO, but they ARE cheap, appealing to corporate "bean counters." Instead of replacing the lines again, a clamp as described in the previous post helps solve the problem of the connector suddenly coming apart under pressure.

I'd also consider replacing the accumulator a second time. It contains desiccant beads, which might have become saturated with moisture depending on how long the system was open to the atmosphere.
