Hello,

For anybody that needs it, I answered my own question above about Doc's Blocks being closed and needing a new source for a compressor adapter. For me, I found what I need at "Nostalgic AC Parts". Their GM1600 adapter works perfectly for my LS swap compressor in a 70 Chevy El Camino.

I found another source for AC compressor adapters. Online they go by "Air Components" but their brick & mortar business (and invoices) all say "Discount Auto Air". They have a few ready-made configurations, but will also custom fabricate to your specifications if you need the fitting pointed in a particular direction. Here's their catalog of fittings for Sanden and Denso compressors:

Hey Clint! It's awesome to see your passion and expertise come together as you tackle the project with your 1970 Nova's AC system. Your detailed plan and knowledge of the components show a lot of dedication and preparation. It seems like you're on the right track with your approach, methodically addressing each aspect of the system. As you work through the finer details like adjusting the POA valve and charging the system with R134a, don't hesitate to reach out for advice or guidance. Testing the blower performance could be done by comparing the airflow against a known standard or simply sensing the air output near the vents. Keep up the great work, and I can't wait to see your progress with the photos and videos you plan to share

I remind everyone that this topic is about five or six years old. Probably worthwhile to start a new one.

Hi John. I started the topic and I resurrected it because the replacement fitting was relevant to my system. I figure this can remain a set of running notes on my system in case it helps anyone - it certainly helps me. I see the comment about deleting the link to external product sites and totally understand - sorry I did not remember that from the forum rules!

I am making a few changes to the controls on this system and I will update the thread with some data and photos soon. Namely I'm divorcing the AC clutch control and recirculation control to separate buttons so they can be operated independently of the blend lever.
