Are the superheat switch and the high pressure switch interchangeable in the GM A6 compressor?
I have a new A6 that was delivered with a high pressure switch. However, my application requires a super heat switch. Can I just swap out the high pressure switch and replace with the super heat switch?

Re: GM A6 Compressor Switches
IIRC (it has been a while), the answer is yes, as long as the diameters are the same.
The superheat switch is part of a fail-safe circuit for the A6 in your application. If the back of the compressor gets too hot, the SH switch senses that, closes, and grounds the hot wire to the clutch, causing the (OEM) non-resettable fuse to blow, shutting off the compressor. The A6 can overheat, for example, when the refrigerant charge gets low.
