Car has a TRS 090 type compressor. Blow that up and you will be replacing a condenser as well.
Just roll the window down and get the parts.
I still want to know how many miles you have on a first generation hybrid.

Nobody sells a new fan for this model.
Car has 226,000 miles.

Nice, NiMh hybrids getting the job done for 20+ years
Not a surprise that there is no support on the fan. As I recall thy only made about 14,000 of those first generation cars over a 7 year period
The good news is that electric OEM fans have improved quite a bit in the last 20 years. Honda used what was available at the time. Probably a standard pancake motor, and that big wide blade white nylon fan. The plastic fan shroud will be the part that is unique to your car.
You may find a fan motor that can be installed in the existing shroud assembly. Subaru was using the pancake motor in the same time frame.

Got back from the trip yesterday morning. Was able to make it without using the a/c

Don't think this can be repaired. I should have a spare off a parts car.

Your original fan looks pretty "crusty," all right, so I'm not surprised that it's blowing the fuse.
If the second used fan to which you have access doesn't work out, at least two other used OEM fans are available online that look decent. A replacement fan motor for a CR-V is also available that looks like it might fit your Insight, although I can't be sure.

Yep Tim, Honda bought parts like that - and they got used across models.
The rusted out shroud assembly can be replaced too, just not going to hotlink it.

In this case, since we have no specific options. Feel free.
