You mentioned Nylog. I use Nylog Blue on all threaded joints, o-rings, and sealing washers. It certainly can't hurt, and it's good insurance for a leak-free system. A little dab on each point will do ya'.

Rubber covered metal gaskets seal more reliably with lube instead of dry. Refrigerant mineral oil also works good.
04 Burb w/4.3 =195 hp. pushing 4400 lbs. w/ A/C?
