Adjusting a block type TXV Brad or anyone

Post by tbirdtbird »

Brad, in this thread, first post, you mentioned you adjusted a block type TXV.

How did you do that? We need to increase the superheat on such a valve

Thanks
Dave

there is an exposed bias screw on the bottom of the block (end opposite the head). Turn CW in small increments (increases bias spring compression), while running the system is best so you can take measurements and calculate a superheat. The screw is O-ring sealed, driven usually by a metric hex wrench for some brands, 2 pin spanner for Egelhof.
