cleaning condenser

id like to clean my condenser on my 08 mercury grand marquis
i plan on buying a water nozzle with a shower option but what do i use to spray on the condenser to clean it
can i just use a degreser or is there something else i need

I use brake cleaner , if it is painted , it might remove some paint.

I've had pretty good results using either Zep Citrus Cleaner or Zep Fast 505 applied with a spray bottle and rinsed off using low-pressure water from a garden hose. Both are available in gallons at your local HD. If you use a brush, make it one having soft bristles, and go gently so that you don't deform the delicate fins. And don't use a power washer...too much pressure.
