I haven't purchased any R-134a lately, but I've heard about that as well. Next time I visit a parts supplier in my area, I'll check the prices. At the same time, I wonder if the prices of R-1234yf are dropping. I wouldn't bet on it.

Terrible news! I just went and looked and the prices are sky high. The only decent price that I saw online was at Home Depot $5.27 each for the 12 oz cans. That's in my local area and not all HDs are showing that in stock.

If you do much mobile AC work you really need to stock up now. They are really putting the wood to us. The stuff is not even banned!
There are a hell of a lot of cars out there that still run on 134.
Here in July 2021 the price doubled from 100 to 200 per 30 pounder. It is now way more than that. Look at eBay and see what you can find and GET IT NOW, it will never come down

Since my last post, I've seen prices going up, up, and away. Looks like the opportunists are taking advantage of current market conditions.

The easiest way to search eBay is by using picclick

https://picclick.com/?q=R134

There is at least one guy on there who is getting entire pallets and is giving about the best prices out there. Ask me how I know.
