R134a on my headlight lens

Post by Scooba Steve »

I accidentally got R134a on one of my plastic headlight lenses. It’s like a residue that I can’t seem to get off. Any suggestions on how to remove this stuff? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

The 134 itself is long gone.
It melted into the plastic. (partially dissolved it)

You'll need to buff it out the same way a body man would buff a fender.
Start by wet sanding with 800 grit, then buffing out to a clear lens with a power buffer and buffing compound.

Or get a new lens/light
