static pressure equalization time frame.

Post by mbt »

What is the typical time for pressure to equalize after shutting down ac system. I am seeing 4-6 hours before they do which I think is to long, any idea what could be the cause. Thanks 2007 VW Sanden compressor.

Could just be the compressor cycling. Is this new behavior? How long warm and how long cold? Idle or on the hiway?

Set up your manifold and provide the following data:

ambient
set RPM to 1500-1800
center vent temp (fan max, max cold setting, recirculate)
Hi side psi
lo side psi

(for the record pressures at idle do not help)

What work have you done to the system?
