No gauges pressure changes after adding r134a

Post by p5200 »

My car is a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am GT 3.4l engine. The charts I looked at said 45-50 low side and 175-220 with ambient temp. around 80 degrees fh. my pressures were 30 and 125. I added a 12 ounce can of r134a and the pressures stabilized at the same readings 30 and 125 just like when I started. The air feels colder, the thermometer reading is between 43-45 degrees the Freon was installed at normal idle. Thanks for all help! :)

Reclaim refrigerant and charge system by capacity.

I don't have a recovery system so I guess I'll have to take the car and see if the garage will remove the refrigerant for me and then, try what you suggested. Thanks! :)
