The sensor is on the high side line someplace. AC Delco part number 1551343
Again, a Mitchell subscription can be a big help. You can screen shot the wiring diagrams & save them, that alone is worth the $20 charge

Re: 2006 Saturn Vue cooling at idle
What brand compressor?
Re: 2006 Saturn Vue cooling at idle
I've tried 2 remanufactured compressors and one labeled NEW, all same results. I put a new scroll valve in the initial compressor hoping that was the issue, no dice.

Re: 2006 Saturn Vue cooling at idle
Changed out the highside switch, no change. If I hold the throttle down at 1500rpm, temp immediately drops, I let off temp immediately goes back up. Any other ideas?

That's opposite of what you say in your title.satvue wrote:If I hold the throttle down at 1500rpm, temp immediately drops, I let off temp immediately goes back up.

Do you typically only read thread titles?atikovi wrote:That's opposite of what you say in your title.satvue wrote:If I hold the throttle down at 1500rpm, temp immediately drops, I let off temp immediately goes back up.
Re: 2006 Saturn Vue NOT cooling at idle
My apologies for the misleading thread title. I don't see an option to change the title. I'll see if I can get a mod to adjust it.
Re: 2006 Saturn Vue cooling at idle
No but the facts stated here are contradictory. Regardless, if there is normal cooling at above idle that drops to little or no cooling at idle speed, it points to a bad control valve in the compressor. Or at least it has on 3 of my last Vues in which I replaced the valve.satvue wrote:Do you typically only read thread titles?atikovi wrote:That's opposite of what you say in your title.satvue wrote:If I hold the throttle down at 1500rpm, temp immediately drops, I let off temp immediately goes back up.
