Serp to parallel condenser affect on capacity

Post by jeepsj »

In switching to R134, I upgraded the serpentine condenser to a parallel (and I'll be swapping to a parallel in my XJ also). I'm wondering how this affects the overall volume of the system. I think it will throw the 80% rule out the window on the R12>R134 conversion. So then do I just charge by pressure and best vent temps?

In most cases you can Charge to R12 specs when using a true PF condenser.
