2015 Kia Sportage
First, there are no problems with the system, I had the hood open checking the oil. It was dark when I took the picture so it is not the best, but the liquid line goes inside the suction line for about 15 inches then comes back out. I haven't ever seen this before. Is it using the cold refrigerant leaving the evap to further cool the liquid before it gets to the txv? Good idea if that is what it is and I'm sure it works great, just a little trippy.

I bought a can of freon at supermart. It had dye, oil, and stop leak in it. It also came with a hose and a gauge. Now I'm an ac professional!!!

Re: Liquid line inside suction line?
The suction line heat exchange increases the overall icentropic system efficiency which results in slightly less horsepower per ton of cooling and can reduce liquid refrigerant below ambient for colder louvers
