Re: Looking for Help with my AC

Drove the truck for a few hours today and seems much better. Compressor didn't cut off at all maybe for a minute or two it got a little warm in truck but maybe clutch could be slipping alittle. Thank you for the help. Will be changing the clutch this week.

Re: Looking for Help with my AC

Truck not driven too much on weekends but I did drive it and had it running for over and hour and compressor never cycled off. Time will tell but I did order a new clutch set up. This one is worn and a little rusted, cleaned up a little bit.

I removed clutch to look at clutch and I only have one shim in there. I have had the truck since it was 2 yrs olds and nobody would have removed 2 of them if there is supposed to be 3. Clutch is worn and I think I will order a replacement when I get it should I start off with 3 shims. Could I remove...

Re: Looking for Help with my AC

Is that a standard air gap .020". I will check it out tomorrow. This could actually cause it to engage and disengage I thought if it was worn it just wouldn't engage. Or is it just so slight that it goes either way. Thanks

Compressor was working but blowing hot air so here is what I did and what is going on. I went and had air serviced vacuumed, leak tested and filled. As soon as...
