Thanks, any suggestion as to how much dye to use? Also what are the set points for the receiver drier pressure and temp switches?

Okay, I've filled the compressor with the proper amount of mineral oil. Do I understand correctly that I don't have to put any oil into the receiver dryer? And where and how much dye should use?

A few more questions. I have all components, other than the evaporator on the bench. I plan to flush all components with a A/C flush medium. After the flush I will need to refill the system with oil. Mercedes 240D freon Capacity
Does anyone know the R12 capacity for a 1979 240D Mercedes using a York compressor? Also, the system has been depressured for several weeks now. How much oil is required and where is it inserted. I plan to evacuate the system and resupply with R12 and oil in another couple weeks. Any assistants woul...
