The TXV is a block style. Confirmed it is a TXV and not an OT system. Fan is mechanical with no clutch. Evap snd condenser are both clean. When I say inconsistent I mean that it cycles and blows cold then warm then cold then warm.

Neighbor came over with his New Holland T5040 tractor. Sympton is inconsistent AC function. Hooked up the gauges and when the system kicks on we are getting high side approaching 350psi while the low pressure drops to 20 and the system kicks off. Condenser and evap are both clean. Goodyear Galaxy A10 (my hose) vs Galaxy A20.

Attaching chart to hopefully save someone the same grief in finding this stuff.

My lines are #12 and #8.

Hoses are marked 11.4mm and 15.2mm. That puts them at 0.449 and .598.

Looked up the actual Goodyear spec

11.4 +/- 0.4mm so .433 to .465

15.2 +/- 0.4 so .582 to .614

To complicate everything, it looks like existing lines are #6 and #8.

Barrier hoses measure 0.750 and 0.910. Hard lines (aluminum) measure 0.625 and 0.480. Based on the outside diameter of the barrier hose, am I correct in the #6 and #8 sizes?

Why not go with a new Denso designed for a 97 5.7 P/U mount. Hoses would also fit the Denso model HT6. https://ackits.net/product/14-20151nip/ Because I'm not as smart as you guys? LOL...
