Re: Ac help (I’ll die)
I owe an apology. I’m sorry, and completely out of line. I came here for help and to learn, and getting defensive while acting like a fool isn’t helping me. I also feel like I let my common sense get away from me, and please correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t it be pointless to try and further imp...

Re: Ac help (I’ll die)
“Wow. Order the wrong part for your car. Based on a guess about why it looks different from a Toyota part for a smaller compressor and different evaporator. The engineering staff at both Subaru and Denso are obviously trying to cheat you out of some cooling, that is why the part is different.” I see...

Re: Ac help (I’ll die)
So, just to make sure I have a grasp on things. The needle pulsing is due to the compressor failing, one of the cycles not sealing properly or something along those lines? What about the low side being so high? Is that due to a potential blockage?

Re: Ac help (I’ll die)
Thank you all! I have repaired many ac units but it’s nice to actually learn a bit about the components I usually just change out. I have a basic idea of how it all works but nothing about what makes one txv perform any differently from another along with the rest of the components. I’ll be ordering...

Re: Ac help (I’ll die)
Alright here we go, I love a learning opportunity! I pulled both of those up and forgive my ignorance but would you mind pointing out the small restriction?

Re: Ac help (I’ll die)
I agree with that 100%.

This is where is at. The low side seems high, replace txv with compressor?

Re: Ac help (I’ll die)
I may have to let them have a look. I’d like to keep a shop doing the work as a last resort but the heat here is unreal so I’m not above paying for it to be done. We had the exact same car, year options and everything and came here for a wedding in the head of June and it did great. My 2000 Sierra d...

Ac help (I’ll die)
Hey all you cool cats and kittens. The care is a 2005 outback xt limited with dual zone climate. I purchased it a few years back and put a motor in it and the first thing I noticed was the ac worked Horribly. Hooked my manifold up to it and as soon as the ac kicks on the high side climbed like crazy...
