I was doing all of this with the Compressor still mounted and the fan & shroud removed. For sure, it was the pulley bearing. The inner race and balls fell out. I made a fixture to remove the outer race from the pulley and press in the new bearing. Was all ready to reassemble when I noticed the c...

I might add that my grand daughter was driving it, so I can not attest to any strange noises etc. When she returned it the serpentine belt was broken.
