Got it. Looks like I'll be pulling the clutch on the 01 then. Possibly just doing all the seals for it if it's leaking.
I'm guessing the 05 is probably fine with the shaft seal then? I'll look around the case for belly leaks.

Both vehicles have dye that I put into the system so I would imagine if they were belly leakers that would be easily visible. If that's the case I may very well tear them down. However the main part I'm considering is the shaft seals. Since I can't really see them without removing the clutch, is it ...

I have an 01 Pontiac Grand Prix and an 05 Chevy Aveo. I believe both have the same V5 compressor design. Ironically both are leaking at the input line to the condenser, most likely a dry o-ring.
