Any recommendations on the best source for a replacement A6 compressor? Which viscosity of PAG is suitable for use in an A6?

Old shade tree mechanic, but new to A/C work. I need to replace my A6 compressor. How much PAG oil should I add to the new compressor? Am I correct in understanding that the oil is added to the suction port prior to installation?
