Re: Question About Suction Hose Diameter For POA
A few questions to clarify. Referring to your first post, has the ferrule issue gone away now that you can get the proper fittings? Also, are you reinstalling the A6 together with all the other OEM parts from the donor truck, or are you keeping the previously installed Sanden SD508?

Re: Retrofitting A/C sizing components correctly
i totally agree. It would be easier. But I don't want to start a second time pulling the car apart if it isn't. I just need a T piece and some aluminium pipe to go to the rear evaporators or evaporator. and those can be on whatever fan setting needed, it doesn't has to be full speed. like this my f...

Re: Retrofitting A/C sizing components correctly
It's a 2014 ... . I have read about the HT6 reliability issues and kept digging. The compressor I want to purchase is the SD7V16 163.1ccm³ and is variable and runs at roughly 35°F suction. It has a cooling capacity of about 7.5kW at 3000RPM 0°Superheat and 10°subcooling At 4000 RPM it's about 9.5kW...

Re: R1234yf Auto Retrofits
I paid about $90 for a 30-pound cylinder of "the good stuff," made in the USA, about three to four years ago from my favorite refrigerant vendor. The identical R-134a product from the same vendor in today's market (I just checked a little while ago) is now $270, although shipping is includ...

Re: Retrofitting A/C sizing components correctly
If memory serves, the GM HT6-type compressor has been used for front and rear A/C (two evaporators) in the Chevy Suburban and some other vehicles. Whether the HT6 can handle three evaporators, one main evap under the dash and two smaller evaps under the front seats, is open to speculation. According...

Re: R1234yf Auto Retrofits
Currently, R-134a is still readily available, although it's a lot more expensive when compared to just two or three years ago. If you plan to hold onto your cars and keep them R-134a, purchasing some refrigerant now while you still can might be a good idea, especially if you don't want to get involv...

Re: Air being pulled in to an A/C system??
You're thinking-through any and all possible causes, and I would as well. But let's look at it in simpler terms. In my mind, the only other possible way that situation can happen is if someone else (for whatever reason) introduces compressed air into the system after you have it running correctly wh...

Re: My A/C Stop blowing cold air after 45 mph
Do you need to remove the he evaporator to replace the Orifice Tube (OT) for a Taurus 1995? The OT should be somewhere inside the metal liquid line (the thinner of the two lines) in the engine compartment. On your car, I can't recall whether the OT is permanently installed in the line or whether it...

Re: 2014 volt evap question
Glad you clarified. Given the design of the air plenum (tightly fitted to the evaporator) and that of the system itself (most likely oversized, as you inferred), slight air leakage at the bottom of the evaporator probably won't detract much from cooling the passenger compartment.
