You wouldn't happen to be in California...

The CA 134a cans are different. There is an adapter.

Re: Side can tap

I'll be honest here.

You need to do something about your shipping costs.

$16 to ship to California is WAY HIGH.

Re: Side can tap

Both those fittings look like they're for R134a hoses.

Is that what I'm seeing, or is it for both R134a and R12?

Re: Puller fans: one or dual

The 2 smaller fans may have more coverage area.

The 2 smaller fans will be thinner (more clearance)

With a fan failure, you'll only lose some of your airflow.

With 2 small fans, you can stage your cooling.

Re: Adding electric fans to antique car

You may need to upgrade your alternator.

A 71 is only like 60 amps.

Re: Low voltage at clutch

You could rewire it so that the existing wire to the clutch turns on a headlight relay that then gets it's power directly from the battery.

Re: A/C works after car has been sitting a few hours only

You can test the wide gap by giving the clutch face a tap with a hammer handle when the engine is running.

The tap will move the clutch just far enough for the electomagnet to take over.

Gland Nut seal grease

Had to tighten up my gland nuts on my gauges yesterday to stop a leak. This made me think that shouldn't there be something between the seal and shaft to lessen wear and help seal the shaft (if there was any, it's long, long gone).... Is there some sort of vacuum grease that can be added that doesn'...

HVAC R22 mineral oil

Is the mineral oil for R12 the same as for R22?

I have some 525 viscosity mineral oil for R12, can it be used with R22?

I'm having trouble finding specs on what mineral oil to use for R22

thanks
