Re: Flush mixed in with oil after replacing everything Honda 2006 Pilot
I think I meant Naphtha not acetone I know someone mentioned Naphtha before here I will keep that in mind, or use what Tim has. After I vacuumed overnight I had a leak Oring got pinched somehow where low side plugs into the compressor. I was dumb didn't replace the orings when I pulled it 2 nights a...

Re: R-134A System Schrader Valve Core Size
There is a core removal tool you can buy to remove them without losing any refrigerant. Get a decent one lot of cheap ones on Amazon if they leak that refrigerant. These are used lot in HVAC work they remove the core while they flowing nitrogen to solder, vacuuming. https://youtu.be/jsVwIvdDv-s?si=e...

Re: Flush mixed in with oil after replacing everything Honda 2006 Pilot
I put this off for awhile had other projects as time passed the vent temps best they could do was about 60F when it was 115F outside. Compared to our 2017 Ford Focus ST I can get 40F air with a probe in the vent after 2-3 minutes even in 115F outside temp Honda AC should do just as good. I recovered...

Re: Flush mixed in with oil after replacing everything Honda 2006 Pilot
I think maybe ill just pull the compressor drain it and refill with the the same amount in oil then vacuum overnight. I suggest draining, refilling, and rotating the mainshaft, all more than once, to ensure that you get out all the flushing solvent. Oil mixed with solvent won't lubricate the compre...

Re: Flush mixed in with oil after replacing everything Honda 2006 Pilot
The old compressor had a shaft seal leak and clutch went bad. I normally just replace everything because my experience find that old oil on an vehicle with unknown maintenance just better to replace it all. I think maybe ill just pull the compressor drain it and refill with the the same amount in oi...

Re: I am stumped... 2006 GMC truck
I'm assuming it's using an orifice tube is it the right one? When you spray water on the condenser does it blow colder air? You should be getting 40F easily out of that system. I would check the orifice tube I have gotten the wrong one before in a kit from rock auto. I noticed the pressures were not...

Re: How much oil do I put in Compressor?
Usually they come with the correct oil or in the instructions say how much to add to just the compressor.
