Re: Vacuum Pump Oil Diluted by Alcohol Flush ?

If you have enough residual flushing agents to ruin your vacuum pump oil, your concern should be the oil in the AC system and a better flushing technique to remove it before the vacuum stage of the repair. It's not really a question of how much flushing agent remains in the lines or if that is enou...

Hello,

If I use denatured Alcohol to flush my vehicles automotive AC system wil the alcohol necessarily dilute / contaminate the Vacuum Pump Oil so that it needs changing?

Re: Vacuum on the low side

You sure it calls for that much freon?

A Dodge caravan with Rear AC uses about that amount...maybe a bit less. Seems like a lot for that car. But refer to the FSM.

It's rear engine so maybe a lot of plumbing to get from the dash back to the engine and back again?

Re: Hi low side with proper amount of refrigerant

You'll probably need to also change the expansion valve and definitely the receiver dryer.

It would also be helpful if you used a flush in the evap and condenser coils since they had stop leak in them.

Good luck.

Printed a Shaft Seal Installer Tool on my 3D printer

Could NOT find one for a TV12 Mazda Miata Compressor a while back.

So I made one...on my 3D printer.

IT WORKED !!

Cost: 13 CENTS

Disclaimer......I DID smooth it by sanding the outside of the printed part for about 10 minutes with 500 then 1000 emery paper.

Re: Chevy 4500 AC Blowing Hot - HELP!

40 psi on the low side or high side? The low pressure lines will be cold for a moment after adding freon. Do they still get cold ten minutes later? If the low pressure line still gets cold after about 10 minutes, then the compressor, evaporator and expansion valve are working to some degree and you ...

Re: Denso TV12 front seal question - photo included

Ok, For the benefit of anyone who reads this later...... What I found is that some seals have a TEFLON core. That teflon core is usually much smaller than the shaft and requires and installation tool to stretch it and guide it over the shaft without damage. So I believe this is the answer to my ques...
