Thanks to you both. This is a Sanden SD7V16, so everything I've read says it's a variable displacement compressor. Not sure if it makes any difference. I'll try the evac/replace next.

I've checked pressures with the engine warmed up and holding 1500-1800 rpm for about a minute. I'm reading 35psi and 175psi at 68 deg ambient.

Thanks for the response. The pressures were at engine idle. I will have a chance to remeasure next week and report.
